Outside Sales Executive

Role Description

The Outside Sales Executive will lead RUD’s Hoist Chain sales and business development activities across Canada, targeting hoist manufacturers, distributors, rental companies, and industrial end users. This role focuses on developing new accounts, managing existing relationships, and driving revenue growth by promoting RUD’s premium German-manufactured hoist chain products.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the hoist and lifting equipment market (OEMs, dealers, and end users).
  • Develop strategic sales plans to grow RUD’s market share in Canada.
  • Conduct regular field visits to clients, distributors, and trade shows.
  • Prepare and deliver professional presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales and Product Management teams to prepare quotations and proposals.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms within company guidelines.

Account Management

  • Grow relationships with existing customers and key accounts.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and handle inquiries or complaints professionally.
  • Maintain detailed customer records, contact reports, and activity logs in CRM.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Gather market intelligence, competitor activities, and pricing trends.
  • Provide regular updates, forecasts, and performance reports to management.
  • Work closely with RUD Germany’s product team on new product opportunities and technical clarifications.

Travel

  • Up to 50% travel within Canada

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial B2B sales, ideally within hoist, lifting, rigging, or material handling sectors.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand mechanical components.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
